SDCC是什么？

SDCC可以代表一个非常有意思的东西，也可以代表另外一个非常有意思的东西。

首先，它可以代表San Diego Comic Con。

世界上最有名最大最豪华最众星云集的漫展之一。

但是我们谈的不是这个。

我们谈的是San Diego Community College。

圣地亚哥社区大学。

我估计你们就在想了，我既然来了UCSD那么跟SDCC又扯到什么了？

那么我来介绍一下吧。

这个课程是基础的写作课，分成两个课：

SDCC4 English as Second Language (ESL) 比较基础 讲的内容偏语法。

SDCC1 Entry Level Writing Course (ELWC) 比较进阶 讲的内容偏文章结构。

如果你入学之前满足以下任一条件，那么恭喜你，你无须上SDCC了。

* A score of 680 or higher on the College Board SAT Reasoning Test, Writing Section

* A score of 30 or better on the ACT Combined English/Writing test;

* a score of 3, 4, or 5 on the CEEB Advanced Placement Test in English;

*A score of 5 or higher on the International Baccalaureate Higher Level Language A exam;

*A score of 6 or higher on the International Baccalaureate Standard Level English A exam;

* submitting proof of completion of a transfer-level college course of four quarter-units or three semester-units in English composition with a grade of C or better;

*writing a passing essay on the Analytical Writing Placement Exam (which is required of all students who have not otherwise met the requirement). This examination may be taken only once.

 

SDCC自从2015年开始改革，将以前的Exit Exam取消，改为如下方式。

要通过SDCC，必须在课上达到C-或者以上级别。

每个星期要写一到两篇文章 然后上交，老师评分后保留。

根据课堂要求进行改正，然后期末的时候把要求上交的东西放到一个folder里面，作为portfolio上交。最后成绩看portforlio和课堂表现。
